Milwaukee based word-slayer Taiyamo Denku presents the sixteen track “No Industry Standard” album, bursting out the britches with pure, unadulterated Hip Hop
“No Industry Standard” is the eighth full length solo release from the Wisco spitter, an impressive feat for any emcee. Aside from that, the list of guest features is enough to make any Hip Hop fan get gassed when reading over the tracklisting. We are treated to more new music from Denku alongside KRS One and Chino XL, artists that Taiyamo has worked with already in the past. The Midwest word-bender also lands some heavy hitters with the addition on Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher of Griselda Records fame (signed to Eminem’s Shady Records imprint.
He also digs deep into the Cypha Den Music vault to unleash one of his biggest guest to date, Lil Kim. Co-owner and in-house producer, Dcypha, once again provides the production of the album, albeit the Psycho Les produced, “Stand Back”. The selections range from down right gutter to soulfully sampled righteousness.
Taiyamo is very outspoken, both online and in real life. He keeps the Hip Hop art form near and dear to his heart, an art he’s been highly active with over his lengthy career span. As the genre continues to dumb down and morph, the Milwaukee Monsta remains defiant of the change. His mission with “No Industry Standard” is simple, to make rappers aware that lyricism is king, not bright colored hair or gimmicks.
