1. What’s going on? Please introduce yourself and tell us where you’re from.
Wassup. My name O Da Kidd And I’m from St. Louis
2. When did you start rapping and who or what inspired you?
I started rapping around like 8 but I start taking it serious and investing in myself at 18. I was inspired by rappers like Rakim , Lil Wayne, Webbie, Yo Gotti, Master P, Boosie, Outkast, Rocko, and Meek Mill.
3. With so many independent artists out here what makes you different & sets you apart?
I feel like what makes me different is the content of my music and how I rap like it’s all motivation but it’s to trap type beats so u be expecting a trap song about drug dealing or something but you get a motivation song and with no cursing. I say nigga a lot but no cussing even when I rap about the streets or something. I feel like it’s so easy to rhyme by using cus words which is why I feel alotta ppl sound the same so I don’t .
4. Tell us something you enjoy doing [besides music] that most people don’t know.
I like working . Like I might get some hoodiese designed n start a small clothing line or I might fix a computer for some money . I just stay busy and like working .
5. Currently, what project or single are you working on or pushing & where can we find it?
Rite now I’m working on a lot of different sounds trynna step out of my comfort zone but I’m pushing my latest project RNGM 2 . It’s avalible on spinrilla.com and the single off the project I’m pushing is called “nothing to say”. It’s a song about letting actions speak louder than words. Basically I’m just trynna motivate ppl to stop looking for help or expecting somebody to believe in them and to work for what they want.
6. What’s been the most memorable moment so far in your music career?
My most memorable moment was being on livemixtapes n hitting 50,000 + views . It may sound small to some people but like I come from nothing and that’s something me and people I came up with dreamed about.
7. If you could work with any artist, (current or past) who would it be and why?
It would be Webbie because Webbie motivated me in life and when I listen I feel him and when I see how he came from the bottom it give me hope.
8. What are your goals musically for 2016?
My goal for 2016 is to just have a buzz and at least be performing consistently .
9. What’s your favorite quote?
My favorite quote is “Rich Off Opportunity”. I heard it on a Meek Mill song and it spoke to me because I come from nothing and just to have opportunity means more than being rich to me and people who I came up around.
